It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at the Chocolate Lady in the 100 block of Hay Street.
Police said 44-year-old Sonny Stetson was armed when he walked in, took money from the cash register, and forced an employee into a closet.
Stetson has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping.
He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $20,000 secured bond.
