The accident happened just before 10 p.m. at Fox Road and Sumner Boulevard.

The driver of the scooter, 20-year-old Alexander Shoemaker, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Authorities have said Shoemaker was at fault in the accident, but have not released any further details about the incident.
