Authorities charged 60-year-old Jerry Lewis Avery with sex offense with a student and misdemeanor sexual battery on Monday.
He worked with the college's high school program when the alleged encounters happened. Avery reportedly no longer works at Fayetteville Tech.
Further details about the incident have not been released.
