SC college on lockdown after shooting

Coastal Carolina University, which is near Myrtle Beach, told students to stay where they are after one person was hurt during a shooting on campus Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened at an apartment building across the street from the main campus.

One person was taken to the hospital and a local television station is reporting the suspect is still at large.

The first reports of a shooting appeared on social media around 7:30 p.m.

A CCU Alert text sent to student warned students to stay in their dorm rooms and classrooms.
