The mayor said Raleigh is nationally recognized as one of the best places to live, work, raise a family, and start a business. She said that image has helped the area to impressive growth.
"In the first two months of 2013, Raleigh and Wake County have announced 11 new and expanding companies for a total of 445 new jobs," said McFarlane.
She also said three companies alone - Citrix, Bandwidth.com, and Red Hat - will be bringing 1,000 jobs to downtown and Centenial Campus.
But McFarlane said transportation is the key to maintaining and enhancing Raleigh's greatness.
