It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a home at the Delta Place Apartments in the 800 block of Delta Drive in Garner.

Police said 36-year-old Latasha R. Pierce was shot in the head and later died at WakeMed Medical Center.
Winston Lewis of Garner has been charged with murder.
Neighbors who spoke with ABC11 Monday described Pierce as friendly and outgoing. They said she leaves behind a son and a grandson.
Garner police said the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute.
