Police said Nicholas Warren passed away at Duke University Medical Center.
According to witnesses who spoke with ABC11 right after the accident last weekend, Warren ran out in the road in the 700 block of Liberty Street while attending a yard sale with his mother. It happened around 12:30 p.m.
Police say the driver involved will not be charged.
