It happened shortly before 1 p.m. in the 200 block of North Peartree Lane.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found 25-year-old Christian Tobias McLean outside with a gunshot wound. He was taken to WakeMed where he later died.
Police said the suspect is described as a black male of undetermined age and height with medium to dark skin tone and a medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and his hair was in shoulder-length dreads.
