A man was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center around 9:15 p.m. after being shot near a home and collapsing a short distance away, according to authorities. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening. His name has not been released.
Police said the suspects may have fled the scene in a dark four-door sedan with at least two black men inside.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the identity of the suspects is asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
