Cary bank robbery leads to manhunt for two suspects

CARY, N.C.

The robbery happened around 9 a.m. in the 1000 block of High House Road near Cary Parkway and the Prestonwood community soccer fields.

Authorities said the two armed suspects entered the bank shortly after it opened, confronted employees and demanded money.

The pair were wearing black robes, face masks and scarves, but police said one of the suspects appeared to be an African-American man and the other one a white man.

Although they fled the bank on foot, officials said they believed the suspects got away in a red passenger car.

No injuries were reported.

The robbery does not appear to be related an armed robbery on SE Maynard Road over the weekend.
