Officials said a nearby resident found the body during a morning walk in the area of Old Bayleaf Road and Highway 98.
Sources told ABC11 that they are not sure if a crime happened where the body was found or if the body was dumped.
Deputies describe the victim as a white male in his 50s. He is less than 6 feet tall and weighs around 230 pounds. He has short, graying hair, a mustache and a goatee. The man was wearing an off-white tank top, gray shorts, and white sneakers. The man also wore a wedding ring and a black watch with a white face. He had a "Support Veterans" wristband on one arm.
