Authorities said a Toyota RAV4 collided with a Ford minivan just before midnight at the intersection of Horton Road and Stadium Drive.

The impact caused the van to spin and overturn, ejecting the driver, 30-year-old Rubia Hernandez Portillo of Durham, from the vehicle. She died at the scene, according to police.
A man who was also in the van was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, 17-year-old Amina Baker of Durham, was not injured.
No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
