Fire alarm set off during fight at Raleigh hotel

RALEIGH

It happened around midnight Wednesday at the Extended Stay on Appliance Court near Capital Boulevard.

Authorities told ABC11 that the incident started when the unidentified man got into an altercation with another resident. During the fight, a fire extinguisher was set off, which sounded the fire alarm.

As fire crews responded to the scene, residents gathered in the parking lot.

After officials determined there was no fire, police arrested the man, who they said was intoxicated. The other resident was questioned and released.
