It happened around 5 p.m. when a tractor trailer carrying metal plates took a curve too fast on Firestone Parkway.
The truck's load shifted and the vehicle then tipped over.
No other vehicles were involved.
The driver has minor abrasions, but no serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
Troopers say the driver will be cited with exceeding safe speed.
