Search continues for suspect in ATM shooting

A suspect demanded money and then shot a woman at a Coastal Federal Credit Union ATM Sunday night.

Police are still investigating after a woman trying to withdraw money from a bank ATM was shot in the leg on October 20 in an attempted robbery.

It happened just before 7 p.m. at the Coastal Federal Credit Union ATM on Shannon Road.

In a 911 call released October 21, a witness said he saw a man wearing a black ski mask running from the victim's car right after hearing the gunshot.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid to late 20's, standing around 6 feet tall, with shaggy dark blonde hair parted in the middle.

Police said the 38-year-old victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
