A UNC spokesperson told ABC11 a football player allegedly assaulted a parking attendant on campus Thursday morning.
The arrest report shows that player is 21-year-old Travis Hughes.
The officer who took the call says they were responding to a fight, but once they got there, Hughes had driven away. He was arrested shortly after on Hibbard Drive.
Hughes is a junior at UNC and a starting linebacker for the football team.
He's from Virginia Beach and is majoring in communication studies.
Hughes has been suspended from all team activities.
