When Callahan McNeil went sledding in Seven Lakes she broke her back in two places.
"We got on the sled and we started sledding down and he jumps off. I'm looking around and there's this drain, said McNeil. "We didn't see it from the top of the hill, and I guess I just hit it fast and hard enough that my butt hit it, I got up in the air and then I slammed back down and I couldn't move."
Amazingly, she is expected to make a full recovery at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Her family calls Callahan's recovery a miracle.
She is expected to be released from the hospital on Sunday.
