ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. -- Authorities are searching for a man and a woman wanted in a string of recent armed robberies across the Carolinas and the deaths of two senior citizens.

Officials say they are searching for Lloyd Franklin and Jennifer Lanning. The Roanoke Rapids Police Department issued warrants on Franklin Tuesday following a robbery at a Rite Aid.

The police department released surveillance video showing the suspect and the van he was seen with. The descriptions of the suspect and the van match the suspect descriptions in other crimes committed across the region.

Authorities say they determined that the dark blue 2006 Chrysler Town and Country van with North Carolina tag XRX-2142 had been reported stolen from two murder victims in Davidson County. They believe the vehicle may also be involved in other crimes.

Last Thursday night, David Lee McSwain and his wife Joan McSwain were found dead inside their Davidson County home.

That same night, a CVS store in Aberdeen was robbed. Video showed a man running out of the pharmacy and getting into a van.

On Sunday, the suspects matched a similar description in an armed robbery in Georgetown, S.C.
