Rescuers pull deer from storm drain

AUSTIN, Texas (WTVD) -- Emergency workers in Austin were able to rescue a deer that somehow found its way into a storm drain.

A driver spotted the deer beneath a highway flyover but was unable to rescue it. Only its head was visible.

Firefighters and police used a rope to lasso the deer to pull it out safely.

They carried it to a safer area where it immediately ran off.
