FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Dogwood Festival has kicked off with the annual Crimestoppers BBQ.
The Friday event lasts until 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Raeford Road Harris Teeter. There's drive-thru and walk up service. BBQ plates are $5, and drinks are $1. Donations are also accepted.
Each year thousands of dollars are raised to replenish the Crimestoppers fund in Cumberland County.
"We're certainly going to give 'em a plate of BBQ, slaw and a role, but more importantly, the money that comes from that goes back to the tips and allows a caller to remain anonymous," said event chairman Duncan Hubbard.
ABC11 is a proud sponsor of the 33rd Annual Fayetteville Dogwood Festival. Meet ABC11 personalities on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. while enjoying live music, great food, arts and crafts, and more.
