Man charged in Harnett County double murder

HARNETT COUNTY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Harnett County Sheriff's Office has made arrest in the shooting deaths of a man and a woman found August 14.

Sheriff Wayne Coats said 25-year-old Gregory Recardo Fargas was taken into custody in Sanford Friday afternoon during a traffic stop. Sheriff Coats said he was armed with a handgun when he was arrested.

He's charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Bryant James Rosser, 27, of the 300 block of Sandclay Road in Spring Lake, and Kelcie Lyn Vann, 24, of the 400 block of Brinn Drive in Sanford.

Their bodies were found in a car parked down a path off the 3000 block of Buffalo Lake Road and Twin Ponds Road, technically a Sanford address.
