HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hillsborough Police need help identifying the suspects they say are responsible for a rash of break-ins at construction sites.

Investigators said the bandits have ripped off nine dishwashers from homes under construction between February 23 and March 14. They have also caused more than $35,000 in damage from the break-ins.

On March 13, two people were seen in the area of the break-ins and were captured on surveillance video. The first person was described as a heavy-set black male wearing a dark hoodie, gloves, dark pants, and boots. The second person was described as a short female of unknown race with dark hair, wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.

It's believed they might be using a white minivan and a white Ford F-250 or F-350 to haul away the goods.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Scott Bilsky at (919) 732-9381 ext. 37.
