Raleigh resident fumes about unburied cable
The wire was strung in trees.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- It's typical to see cables laying along the road after work is done in the area for internet, cable, and phone, but how about cable hanging from tree to tree?

"I think it's ridiculous," Kerry Kendall said.

Kerry was referring to a Time Warner cable hanging from tree to tree in his Brier Creek neighborhood.

"It's very unprofessional, and I'm not happy about it," Kerry said.

At first, Kerry said the cords were left along the side of the road for weeks. Frustrated, he called Time Warner to complain.

"I came out one day and said 'Oh they fixed it,' then I noticed they strung it up the trees and ran it along the trees and ran it over here and was like seriously? That's how you do business?" Kerry said.

While a lot of cable is strung from tree to tree, a good part of the cord is still along the road and across driveways.

"You need to come out here and fix this because someone is going to trip over it," Kendall said.

After hearing from several residents, I reached out to Time Warner Cable, and they got right on it and buried the entire line.

The rep with TWC said, "We appreciate customers' patience and apologize for any delay in burying the new cables serving their homes. Our new all-digital TV lineup and faster internet speeds have resulted in a temporary increase in new cables to customers' homes, and we have crews working seven days a week to bury them safely."
