Fire destroys Duplin County landmarks

CALYPSO, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A massive fire destroyed two landmarks in Duplin County on Saturday.

An ABC11 Eyewitness sent us pictures of the devastating fire that claimed the old building that housed the Calypso Hardware Store and the Calypso Fire Department.

Fire crews from several surrounding towns worked to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
