Car lands upside down in Raleigh creek

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Emergency crews rushed to help Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle landed upside down in Walnut Creek in Raleigh on Barwell Road and Barrington Drive.

First responders told ABC11 that a woman was driving north on Barrington Drive when her vehicle went off the road, across a greenway, and then overturned in the creek.

The woman, who was alone in the car, was taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries.

Video from Chopper 11 showed extensive damage to the vehicle after it had been pulled from the creek.
