Cary teen helps kids' wishes come true through Etsy store

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A teenager in Cary is busy filling orders for Christmas. 14-year-old Wilson Matsuo, his mom, and his grandparents hand craft handbags and sell them on his Etsy page, "Loved By Wilson."

Wilson is doing this for a good cause -- the money doesn't go to pad his own pockets. He gives it away to children in foster care through the non-profit organization One Simple Wish.
From a set of Legos, to ice skating lessons, to a laptop, or even shampoo, One Simple Wish grants wishes from children, caseworkers, and foster parents through people's donations.
"There are still a lot of wishes from One Simple Wish that don't get granted because wishes can be pretty big," Wilson said. "And it's hard for some people to make those wishes come true."
For every $25 handbag Wilson sells, he gives one to a foster child, and donates 100 percent of the sales to One Simple Wish. So far, he's raised over $3,200.
