ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Christmas at the Biltmore kicked off Wednesday with the arrival of a gigantic Christmas tree, delivered by season's most famous couple -- Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

The 35-foot tall Banquet Hall tree made its grand entrance Wednesday morning to an eager crowd.

This year marks the 41st Christmas at Biltmore in Asheville, N.C.

It took a number of strong Santa's helpers to hoist up the massive tree in the Biltmore's Banquet Hall.

With the tree in position, the staff was ready to decorate with 500 shiny ornaments.

The Biltmore's holiday celebration begins Friday and continues through Jan. 10. For more information about Christmas at Biltmore, click here.
