BERWYN, Pa. -- A class ring, missing for decades, is back with its rightful owner.
Lorraine Reilly and her husband found the 1960 St. Joe's Prep ring inside their home in Berwyn, Pa.
They spotted it in a heating shaft when they were converting the home to gas.
The only clue they had was an inscription with the initials JMH.
However, after some detective work, they traced the ring to John Hyson.
The former Villanova University professor had lost the ring inside the home years ago, when it belonged to his old neighbor.
Hyson now lives in Massachusetts but he came all the way back Saturday to reclaim his ring.
"It brings back so many memories because just think what's associated with that - I was 18 years old and I'm a little older than 18 right now," said Hyson.
Reilly says she was thrilled to return the ring to its rightful owner.
