Man and dog pulled from wreck near Clayton

CLAYTON, NC (WTVD) -- Rescuers pulled a man and a dog from the wreckage of a pickup truck east of Clayton Monday night.

It happened around 7:30 on Jordan Narron Road off Buffalo Road.

The pickup ran off the road into a tree and then down an embankment.

The driver was taken to WakeMed. Video from the scene showed the dog was limping, but didn't seem to be seriously hurt.

Troopers said alcohol is suspected in the crash.
