Man charged in Fayetteville shooting
Antwan Brown, 20, has been charged in a shooting that happenend outside of a Fayetteville business

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating after a person fired shots at a vehicle outside of a store on Clinton Road.

Authorities said it happened around 2:30 p.m. outside of the Day & Night III gas station.

Police said a group of people, who are known to each other, got into some sort of fight in the store's parking lot. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired shots at a vehicle, grazing a person on the head. The victim, 27-year-old Douglas Smith, does not have life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said Thursday they charged 20-year-old Nicholas Jones with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Police said the driver of the vehicle Smith was in was 23-year-old Antwan Brown. He was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon for accelerating his car toward Jones during the incident.
