Knightdale dedicates memorial and amphitheater stage to Veterans

KNIGHTDALE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- On Saturday, officials in Knightdale dedicated a space at Knightdale Station Park for the Knightdale Veterans Memorial and Amphitheater stage.

The town recognized the Veterans in attendance as well as the Two Green Thumbs Garden Club of Knightdale for their support in relocating their Blue Star Memorial to the new one at Knightdale Station Park.

The Garden Club is also currently working with the Town Council to apply for Gold Star Memorial status, which would make this the first Gold Star Memorial in the state.

Blue Star Memorials represent a town's support of veterans, and Gold Star Memorials represent a town's support of fallen soldiers and their families.
