Swimming area at Hope Mills Lake set to reopen

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- The swimming area at Hope Mills Lake is set to reopen Monday.

The town said construction of the bulkhead at Hope Mills Lake Park was completed ahead of schedule.

Officials said lake levels are back to normal.

The upper portion of the lake will remain roped off as crews continue to allow the newly placed sod time to take hold.
