Bill allows North Carolina National Guard to carry concealed guns

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Governor Pat McCrory signed a bill into law Tuesday that will allow North Carolina National Guard troops to carry concealed guns at recruiting offices.

It comes in response to a deadly shooting last month at a recruiting office in Tennessee.

The idea is that this new law will make National Guard troops and facilities safer by letting our citizen soldiers carry concealed weapons on duty.

"This common sense legislation addresses my core philosophy of protecting and defending our military their families and veterans in North Carolina any way we can," said McCrory.
