Man shot on U.S. 70
A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot multiple times on a Durham highway.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are asking for information about a shooting on a Durham highway early Saturday morning.



A man was driving east on U.S. 70 around 3:50 a.m. Police said the shooter pulled up behind him and then started to pass his vehicle on the right. The shooter fired numerous shots at the victim.



The man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for serious injuries, according to authorities.



Police tell us that a witness said the suspect's car was green, and that he fired from the driver's side.



There did not appear to be any confrontation before the shooting and investigators have not determined a motive.
