Manhunt underway in Cumberland County for armed robber

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- A manhunt is underway in Cumberland County for an armed robbery suspect.

Sheriff's deputies and tracking dogs are searching a large wooded area on Old Wilmington Road, just east of Fayetteville.

Authorities say the suspect and another man held up a hair salon on Clinton Road in the Stedman community.

Deputies tell ABC11 they spotted the suspects on Clinton Road and were able to stop their car after a short chase.

One of the suspects was taken into custody, while the other jumped and ran into the woods.
