Deadly motorcycle accident closes part of Wade Avenue
Raleigh police say one person is dead after a motorcycle accident shuts down a section of Wade Avenue.

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Raleigh police has revealed that a motorcyclist killed in a crash on Wade Avenue Sunday night was going 50 mile-per-hour in a 35 mph zone.

Authorities identified the driver as 52-year-old William Harris Jr. of Angier.

Harris ran off the road near Daniels Street around 9:50 p.m., hit a curb, and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The crash shut down all lanes of Wade Avenue between Oberlin Road and Daniels Street.
