CARY, N.C. -- Dr. Martin Luther King's sister-in-law was in the Triangle on Saturday.
Naomi King was the featured speaker Saturday afternoon at the Cary Theater in Downtown Cary.
Naomi is the widow of Dr. King's younger brother Alfred.
Dr. King became an icon for the civil rights movement in the 1960s, but Alfred and Naomi played critical roles behind-the-scenes.
King's comments on Saturday were preceded by a dramatic performance called "I Rise Still," a collection of works by black writers.
