Coach K makes first public comments on Sulaimon scandal

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski responded in public for the first time Wednesday night about the scandal surrounding former basketball player Rasheed Sulaimon.

After a big win over Wake Forest, Coach K repeatedly said he can't talk about the situation.

"I don't really have any more answers. I hope you understand what I'm really supposed to do, and if you were in my position, by federal law, that's what you'd do," said Krzyzewski.

The campus newspaper, The Duke Chronicle, reported two women accused Sulaimon of sexual assault but did not report the allegations to law enforcement.

The article indicated that Coach K knew about the allegations a year ago.
