Police: 3 Durham men robbed the same store twice

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Three Durham men, two of them still teenagers, are charged with robbing the same convenience store at gunpoint twice in 2015.

According to police, Osman Joel Calderon-Juarez, 19, Jose Daniel Cartenga-Juarez, 18, and Michael Yoel Maldonado-Madrid, 20, robbed the Morehead Mini Mart on Nov. 23, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2015.

The convenience store is located at 1601 Morehead Avenue. The suspects, all from Durham, are accused of stealing cash, lottery tickets, and a phone.

All three are facing the following charges: two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of felony conspiracy, three counts of assault by pointing a gun, six counts of obtaining property by false pretense, and six counts of possession of stolen goods. They are also facing robbery charges in Morrisville.

Calderon-Juarez and Cartenga-Juarez are in custody at the Durham County Jail. Maldonado-Madrid has not yet been located.

Calderon-Juarez is being held under a $1 million bond, and Cartenga-Juarez is being held under a $750,000 bond.
