DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Durham County Sheriff's deputy was involved in an accident with another vehicle near Research Triangle Park Thursday morning.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. at Angier Avenue and Pleasant Drive in Durham.
Deputy Conrad Smith was taken to the hospital by EMS for a leg injury. Authorities said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators said the deputy was headed north on Angier Avenue when the other vehicle pulled out in front of him.
The driver of the other car, 17-year-old Lauryn Hill, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said Smith had the right of way. No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
