Suspect sought after Durham chase, crash
Authorities in Durham County are searching for a suspect following an early morning chase.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Authorities in Durham County have arrested one man and are searching for another following an early morning chase.

Around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, deputies tried to pull over a 1999 Ford Taurus in the 4800 block of Roxboro Street for a traffic violation.

The driver kept going and led authorities on a quick chase before crashing into a power pole at the intersection of Horton and Wyldewood roads.

According to officials, two suspects jumped out of the wreckage and ran.

The driver, 20-year-old Keon Peaks Fowler, of Graham, was taken into custody. He was charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and resisting a public officer.

A handgun was also found at the crash scene.

Fowler is currently in jail under a $3,500 bond.

Deputies are still looking for the passenger who was also in the vehicle.
