Durham firefighters respond to overnight house fire

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire on Waring Street around 3:29 a.m after several neighbors called 911.

Officials said the fire was under control in about 20 minutes.

There was heavy fire damage to two rooms and the roof along with smoke damage throughout the house.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

The American Red Cross has been assisting two adults and two children.
