Head-on collision in Durham leaves two injured

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a crash that happened Monday evening at the intersection of Cornwallis Road and Fayetteville Street.

An SUV and a car hit head-on.

A man was trapped in the car, but was extricated by emergency workers. A woman was driving the SUV and was also injured.

The two people were rushed to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating and have not immediately released any further details.
