Vehicle careens off I-85 bridge in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A vehicle careened off an interstate bridge in Durham Monday morning.

It happened just before 10 a.m. at the I-85 South exit ramp to US-70 Bypass East.

Authorities tell ABC11 that the driver did not appear to have serious injuries after her vehicle went about 150 feet down an embankment, but EMS was called to the scene to check her out.

One lane of the ramp was closed because of the incident. It is unclear what caused the accident.
