DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A man shot August 7 in the 900 block of Chalk Level Road in Durham has died from his injuries, police say.

The victim - Kyle Maurice Fisher Jr., 30, of Durham - died Tuesday, police said.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The shooting happened about 1:30 p.m. August 7 in the 900 block of Chalk Level Road west of North Duke Street.

Pictures from the scene showed a Mercedes resting against a tree where it appeared the driver tried to leave the area after the shooting but lost control. There were bullet holes in the windshield.
