Two of the nine were also charged in connection with a Feb. 25 shooting on Guess Road. A 10th person is still wanted.
Officers responded to the suspicious vehicle call in the area of Glenbrook Drive and Dubonnet Place shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Two men were apprehended after a foot chase, and three guns were recovered.
Armed with a search warrant, officers later went to a Glenbrook Drive address and arrested seven additional people. They recovered four more guns, two of which had been reported stolen, marijuana, cash, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
Marquan Leon Williams, 18, and Terry Glenn Jones, 21, both of Durham were also charged with the February shooting on Guess Road.
In that case, officers responded to a call about a disturbance with a weapon on Guess Road near Peppertree Street. A man told officers he was driving on Guess Road around 12:20 p.m. on Feb. 25 when a car did a U-turn and pulled up beside him. A male in that car stood up through the sunroof and fired several shots at the victim's car, which was struck in the windshield and front grill. A woman's car was also struck by a bullet. No one was injured.
Williams and Jones were both charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, two counts of felony conspiracy and two counts of damage to property.
In addition, Williams was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and three counts of probation violation as a result of the arrest on Glenbrook Drive.
Jones was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, delaying and obstructing a government official as a result of the arrests on Glenbrook Drive.
Williams and Jones are being held at the Durham County Jail under $2,080,000 bonds.

Investigators are still trying to find Irease Jeffery, 22, of Durham who is wanted on two charges of possession of a stolen firearm.
