Authorities in Durham have released a video image of a possible suspect's vehicle in connection with a fatal shooting Thursday night

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally shot Thursday evening in the 3700 block of Angier Avenue.

Investigators said 33-year-old Eric Ray of the 3200 block of Fayetteville Street in Durham was fatally shot while he was walking home from work.

Deputies have no known motive at this time. Detectives are following up on leads including an extensive search for a burgundy sedan - either a 2011 or 2012 Nissan Altima or Sentra - seen leaving the area around 7 p.m.

Surveillance images also showed a person of interest linked to the crime.
