Woman riding golf cart injured after car slams into her, flees, Durham police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman was seriously injured after a car slammed into the golf cart she was driving, Durham police said.

The incident happened Sunday night on Hillandale Road near Sprunt Avenue.

ABC11 crews on the scene said the car hit the golf cart as it was crossing the road and then took off.

The woman was taken to the hospital.

Police did not release any information about a possible suspect.
