'Keep it 100' anti-sexting campaign in Cumberland Co.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Cumberland County Schools want students to 'Keep it 100' when it comes to sexting.
The school district kicked off its anti-sexting campaign Thursday by announcing the winners of a student PSA contest.
The school system is hoping to show middle and high school students the dangers and consequences of sending explicit images.
"Everybody knows that it goes on, sort of, and that people do this, but I think that it's a felony and that it could ruin so much for people's futures," South View High School senior Caleb Edkins said. "[That's] something that people aren't really aware of. It definitely shocked me to know just how much it goes on."
The 'Keep it 100' campaign also includes information for parents about how to talk about sexting.
