DURHAM COUNTY (WTVD) -- A social media threat is sparking concern at some Durham public schools.

Durham Public Schools said the threat that apparently started with a tweet was not specific to any one school, but parents and students at Riverside High and Northern High first reported the issue.

Some parents at Jordan High School also said they were hearing worries from students.

No schools dismissed early, and there were no lockdowns.

For parents who picked up their kids early, the district hasn't decided whether their absences will be excused.
